One of the seven swordsmen knocked on the girl’s door. She opened it, trembling, and let him come in. It was Oshimi Tanaka. She bowed her head respectfully as he stepped in towards her. He pulled her chin up and kissed her on the lips. As they parted, she hugged him fiercely, softly weeping. The truth was that the two had been seeing each other for some time now, but he had been gone for the last month on a mission. However, their relationship was a secret, as she was not of high rank or social class. Despite this they loved each other, even though she secretly feared him.

He pulls away from the hug swiftly, and looks down at the bump that had pressed up against him. The girl’s stomach had swollen a couple of inches, and she smiled at him. He struck her across the face, and began yelling at her about how this had ruined everything, how she must hate him, and how they can no longer see each other. The brave swordsman that he was proved to be a coward once he was faced with a problem with his social status. He would not risk being thought badly of by his fellow swordsmen.

Nine months later, Mei Nomike gave a late birth to a young girl, named Reiko. She did her best to raise her to be a strong woman and a wonderful lady, but by the time the young girl had reached 8 years old Mei no longer had money to raise her. One day Mei walked to a small house in a dark alley. Mei ushered Reiko in, and then spoke a few words to the lady of the house. The lady was the most beautiful girl that Reiko had ever seen, and spoke with a liquid voice that radiated strength. Before Reiko had time to react, Mei gave her a quick hug, sobbing, and then walked out of the house. The lady closed the door and walked a protesting Reiko off to sit down.

A couple years later, a beautiful young girl with long hair graduated from the Academy. Her training with the Black Widows had proved valuable in a number of situations, but she could not be publicly known as one of them. Instead, she wielded a sword, promising one day that she would become one of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist. Reiko practiced the sword day after day, but by night she trained with the Black Widows. They taught her deceit, stealth, but most importantly how to be a strong woman. She vowed that one day she would hunt down her father and kill him for leaving her mother alone to raise a child by herself with no money. No matter how or what it took, Reiko Nomike would one day kill her father.

The first nights were horrible. Injecting the poison left her dizzy and sick, and made it extremely difficult to practice the sword the following day. Reiko had a hard time juggling the two lives, but she eventually developed an affinity for the poison. Lethal in small amounts, the poison that flows through her blood is enough to kill her ten times over. Even though the illness is gone, she still has to wear makeup on her arms and face, in case her poison-riddled veins begin to show in a spar.

Though Reiko knows the art of poison and seduction, she secretly loathes it. She will never be able to live a normal life, and has no other option besides devoting her life to training and preparing to kill her father. She was able to make fast friends in the Academy, but she fears that the relationship will be short-lived as soon as they find out who she really is… A Black Widow. She often sits out on the rooftops after training with her sword and looks up to the moon, her only friend. The moon is constant; always there for her every night, but out of reach of her dangerous touch. The occasional tear will cascade down her beautiful face before she comes back to the reality of things. She wipes her eyes, and heads back inside the Black Widow Compound for more training as a monster… A “strong woman”, she corrects. This is her life, now. “What a sad story,” she thinks to herself as the door creaks open with her entrance.

That all changed a few years later. Caught involved in the assassination of a Kirigakure government official, the practice of Poison techniques has been completely outlawed in Water Country, destroying the already small clan. Luckily, Reiko was not directly involved with the assassination so she got away with merely a demotion. But the abolishment of her clan and demotion to Genin struck her to the core. She spent her time focusing on her marriage with Kujira Hoshigaki, and did not have much to do with any of the shinobi way.

She has taken her time to recover, and now she is back in the ring. Rusty from nearly a year out of practice, she will need to retrain her body and mind in the ways of the shinobi. Her weapons may have changed, but her convictions have not.

Blood/Poison Harmony

Description : Reiko draws from some of her own venomous blood to coat her weapons with her own poison. She mingles her poisoned chakra and blood together along the length of the blade, allowing her to control the weapon with much greater ease.
PvP Effect: Deals 1d4 damage that bypasses DR to the user. Kenjutsu performed by the user with the blood-coated weapons are performed as clan jutsu until the user becomes healed.
